Drive Out for the Stars
An inspiration • By Hart
$Summer
Drive an hour past the city lights on a clear night, lie on a blanket on the car hood, and wait for a shooting star.
The moments
Check the sky first
Pick a night near a new moon with no cloud, and look up a dark-sky spot or state park that stays open at night.
After 10 PM
Blanket on the hood
Bring two blankets, a thermos and snacks, and give your eyes twenty minutes to adjust with phones away. First to spot a shooting star gets a wish the other has to grant.
