Grab two bikes
City bike share or a rental shop both work, and helmets are worth the extra few dollars. Plan a route that is mostly car-free.
Stop at the halfway view
Pick a bridge, a pier or a lookout to rest at. Take one photo each of the other, no retakes.
Late afternoon
Ice cream at the finish
Each of you orders a scoop for the other without asking. Eat it outside, on the curb if you have to.
